There are many organizations around the world helping with the fight against child labor. These organizations are in the front lines of defense, helping kids escape from slavery. Two main organizations are Free the Children, and Bachpan Bachao Andolan Hindi for Save the Children movement.
Free the Children was started in Ontario, Canada by Craig Kielburger in 1995. Free the Children are an international charity and educational partner. Their idea is that kids can help kids get out of child labor. Today, Free the Children has nearly 2.3 million youth involved with helping the cause. They “work to build strong commitments from local governments to make sure child labor laws are enforced.” They speak out all over the world and have made a serious impact when it comes to winning the fight against child labor.

Another organization is Bachpan Bachao Andolan (BBA) Hindi for Save the Children movement. BBA was founded by Kailash Satyarthi. This group conducts raids on child labor factories, workshops, and mines, freeing the children in India. Kailash said “I dream for a world which is free of child labour, a world in which every child goes to school. A world in which every child gets his rights.” He is striving to get all children the childhood they need and deserve. BBA has saved more than 80,000 kids from enslavement. Kailash Satyarthi recently won the Nobel Peace Prize for his work with child labor.
These organizations are doing their best to help win the fight against child labor and they are making a huge impact.
